Events

The WI-LEDGE Events Program promotes events and unique experiences that help showcase The Ledge and its many rich facets, engaging the community by learning about its unique features and building a sense of connection with the Niagara Escarpment.

Our events include local food and wine dinners from within the specially designated viticultural area, one-of-a-kind guided group tours of the natural and historic features of the region, art and music, and educational offerings on important issues related to the health and preservation of the Escarpment.

Whether it's helping us out on our program development efforts by becoming a member of our Steering Committee or perhaps just offering to lead a special tour for our members and their guests, NERN is always seeking to build its capacity so that we can positively impact more people, and hence build a growing conservation community and mindset for this invaluable resource.  Whether it's selling tickets, gathering donations, securing sponsorships, or contacting government officials, DU volunteers continue to make a difference for wetlands and waterfowl.

When you give to NERN, you’ll be helping directly to inform and educate the dozens of communities, thousands of landowners, and tens of thousands of visitors about the Niagara Escarpment’s sensitive resources and unique landscapes.

Over the past 24 years, the Niagara Escarpment Resource Network, together with numerous public and private supporters has impacted the lives of many by providing opportunities to connect with the Niagara Escarpment in unique and exciting ways.   Consider just a few of our recent success stories:
